Let's call this "Confessions of a Ship Ho." I'm aware that there are some people out there who are perfectly capable of watching a TV show or movie or reading a book and NOT automatically shipping characters together. I am not one of those people. My favorite ships are almost always those love/hate relationships, hopefully filled with witty banter, and I blame that entirely on my very first ship: Han Solo and Princess Leia. Even at age 5 I knew, despite the kiss she gave Luke "for luck," that Leia was supposed to be with Han. If we'd had the internets back in the day, my youth would have been filled with writing crappy fanfic in the eons between "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi." Lately I've been into shipping couples that are either disliked by the majority of fandom or those that will never ever happen except in the world of fanfic. But, hey, that's what LJ is for, yes?
